Killian is located in the southeastern part of the parish on the Tickfaw River and Highway 22. It is the youngest municipality in Livingston Parish and was incorporated in 1968. It is a residential and recreational area with weekend camps and boat launching facilities for fishermen. Police: 1 full-time /1 auxiliary officers/1 patrol car . Fire Department: 30 volunteers/1 Truck. Fire Rating: 6 in city.
