Bayou Folk Museum

Home of Kate Chopin 1880-1883, reknown writer of Creole short stories set in famed Cane River Country. Best known for Bayou Folk and A Night in Acadie. Home built in early 1800s by Alexis Cloutier on Spanish Land Grant #1701.

Located in Cloutierville, District 8, bayou Folk Museum, Natchitoches Parish. 176
