Madewood Plantation House

The first major building designed by noted architect Henry Howard. Construction of this Greek Revival mansion was begun in 1846, using materials from the land. Steamboats carried trade to Madewood on Bayou Lafourche.

Located Napoleonville, District 61, Hwy 308, Assumption Parish. 252
