Returns to Louisiana and accompanies Director-general Jean Jacques Blaise DAbbadie to Mobile for the transfer of the French lands between the Mississippi River and the Appalachian mountains from France to England. |

After Governor Jean Jacques Blaise DAbbadie's death Aubry becomes acting governor of Louisiana. He directs the settlement of the first large influx of Acadian immigrants and readies the transfer the rest of Louisiana to the Spanish Governor, Antonio de Ulloa. |

After the first Spanish Dons arrive, Aubry cooperates with Ulloa to ease the Spanish take over. |
| 1768 October 29 |
Again Aubry assumes the role as acting governor after the colonial rebellion. |
| 1769 August |
When Alejandro OReilly arrives, he and Aubry discuss the rebel leadership. The next day ten individuals are arrested and Aubry helps to restore order to New Orleans. |

On his return trip to France Aubry dies in the wreck of the Pere de Famile off Bordeaux, France. |
