Arrives in New York and joins the army under General James Wilkinson

Marries Sarah Bloomfield Spencer.

Appointed Agent-Commissioner of the United States Army in the Tennessee and Mississippi territories.

Resigns from the army and becomes a merchant in partnership with Abijah Hunt at Fort Adams, Mississippi Territopry.
1804
Named Postmaster at Loftus Cliffs (Ft. Adams)
1806-1807
Intimate of Samuel Swartwout, James Sterrett, the Ogdens and others involved in Burr Conspiracy including Harmon Blennerhassett.
1811
Buys land in Feliciana and plants cotton.
1819
October 5
Dies and is interred on Oakland Plantation West Feliciana Parish.
