Isaac Johnson

Born Liverpool England, son of John, an Anglican minister and Margaret Hunter Johnson.
1777
Sent to America by a Liverpool merchantile firm and settles in the Natchez District of British West Florida.
1778
Marries Mary Routh, establishes a sawmill and serves as an alcalde at second Creek Spanish West Florida. Father of John Hunter Johnson and grandfather of state governor Isaac Johnson.
1799
Moves to New Feliciana where he becomes Alcalde until 1805.
1805
June 22
Dies on the family plantation later known as Troy West Feliciana Parish.
