South America & Caribbean:A coffee bush stolen from the royal gardens in France starts a coffee industry on the Caribbean island of Martinique.
North America:Iron smelting near Fredericksburg, Virginia. Christ Church completed in Boston.
Europe: Yellow fever makes an appearance in Europe. Opera by Handel; J.S. Bach in Leipzig; Church of Sam Carlo Borromeo in Vienna. British tea duties reduced by Walpole.
