| Robert F. Kennon becomes Governor of Louisiana over Earl K. Long s chosen successor Carlos G. Spaht. | The Beauregard-Keyes House was originally built in 1826 as a honeymoon cottage for Telcide, the daughter of double-tongued auctioneer Joseph Le Carpentier.
